“IFS is more than a therapeutic technique, it is a conceptual framework and practice for developing love for yourself and others”

INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS
THERAPY (IFS) with ANNA

  • In our IFS sessions together I give space for all parts of you to be heard in a non-judgemental space. As an IFS practitioner I support you to cultivate a compassionate, healing relationship with yourself. With this self-empowered approach to relating with your emotions and thoughts you can begin to disentangle yourself from long standing anxieties, fears and pain.

  • IFS supports you to:

  • Relate to yourself with understanding and compassion rather than self-judgement

  • Understand your coping mechanisms that are at the root of your anxieties and fears

  • Heal the wounded parts of yourself that are holding pain, shame, worthlessness.

  • Identify areas of stress in yourself and your life. Rediscover your inner resources

  • Bring your innate wisdom and calm confidence more to the fore. From this centred place it is easier to deal with the daily challenges of internal or external stress.

  • Release the constraints of the protective parts of you that hold you back in life

  • Gain clarity and resolution around difficult emotions, troubling thoughts, past traumas, issues in your life

Internal family systems helps you

IFS AND THE BODY

In our IFS sessions I can help you to explore any physical issues you may be dealing with by exploring the messages and healing wisdom held in the body.
There are many contributing factors involved in health issues, some are beyond our control but IFS can help get to the heart of some of the elements affecting health. Sometimes a part of our psyche tries to help us by communicating  a message through the body in the form of a physical ailment. It maybe trying to protect us from our inability to say no, or from hurt or pain. Through the IFS process of listening we can gain insights and find ways to help the body release and let go of tension and dis-ease.

“Go into the basement, the attic, the refuse bin. Find gold there. Find an animal who has not been fed or watered. It is you! This neglected, exiled animal, hungry for attention, is a part of yourself”.
